A pool that isn't compliant can't be sold or leased in NSW, and the gap between 'looks fine' and 'passes inspection' is usually a handful of specific, fixable things: a barrier under 1.2 metres, a gap over 100mm at the bottom, a gate that doesn't self-close or self-latch at the right height, or a climbable object sitting too close to the fence.
